Discover Montreal's Unique Clown Artist

FrankieB Lambert aka EnvyTheClown,

is a 28-year-old self-taught multidisciplinary artist of Haitian descent, living and working on the unceded Indigenous land of Tiohtià:ke (Montreal, Quebec). Identifying as transmasculine and non-binary, FrankieB embodies these identities through his diverse and politically engaged body of work. For over eight years, he has been involved in the sex work industry, an experience that deeply informs his creations, which often reflect on systemic oppression and political resistance. His work spans draglesque, photography, clowning, gogo dancing, and zine creation, making him a versatile and dynamic creator.

Deeply passionate about activism and social justice, FrankieB is a fierce advocate for marginalized communities, particularly trans people, sex workers, and those affected by the opioid crisis in Canada. With seven years of experience in community intervention, he has developed and facilitated numerous trainings and workshops focused on harm reduction, psychosocial support, and intersectional inclusion.

FrankieB’s artistic performances are more than just shows; they are acts of social transformation, creating spaces where Black and queer narratives take center stage. Whether through his zine series The Sacred Genders, his photographic endeavors, or his captivating stage performances, FrankieB continually reimagines how art can serve as a tool for resistance and healing. As an activist and committed artist, he constantly pushes the boundaries of creativity to uphold his values.
